Maddi Weinstein

The fast-paced, stimulating, and challenging environment of the retailing industry are just some of the reasons that I strive for and pursue a career as a Buyer. As a senior in the Retailing and Consumer Sciences (RCSC) program, I am eager to begin my fourth semester as an Ambassador on the Student Advisory Board. I look forward to applying the skills that I have learned in my RCSC classes to promote and raise visibility as the liaison to Dick’s Sporting Goods and SAP. As Treasurer this semester, my responsibilities include running the Student Scholarship Snack Bar, which raises scholarship funds for our outstanding students in the Retailing and Consumer Sciences program.

This past summer, I had the opportunity to intern with Dick’s Sporting Goods and work as Merchandise Analyst in Golf Apparel. This experience was extremely rewarding and enabled me to expand my knowledge of the corporate environment. Not only was I able to learn the daily responsibilities of an Analyst through classroom instruction and hands-on training, but the importance of all departments and how they coincide with one another. Starting in June, I will be joining Dick’s Sporting Goods full time as a Merchandising Trainee.

I am truly excited to be apart of such a remarkable organization and help increase student involvement with not only my Corporate Advisory Board partners, but all partners as well!
