Natalie Rittenberry

My name is Natalie Rittenberry and I am a senior in the Retailing and Consumer Sciences program. This is my second and final semester on the Terry J. Lundgren Center for Retailing’s Student Advisory Board and I am excited to work closely with the other talented ambassadors, as well as our Corporate Advisory Board partners! I plan to share all of the amazing opportunities for careers and professional development with my peers in the Retailing and Consumer Sciences major. Last semester I completed a Target Case Competition in which my team focused on technology and the grocery customer. We worked to fully integrate Target’s channels in order to better utilize technology and enhance the guest’s experience in stores, as well as online. I took on the role of team leader and my team placed second in the competition.

This past summer I had the opportunity to intern with The TJX Companies, Inc. as a Merchandise Buying Intern at their California Buying Office. I was able to develop my professional, analytical, and relational skills through a number of different projects and responsibilities. This internship reinforced the idea that the information we learn in The Retailing and Consumer Sciences program is applicable to the professional world. I look forward to using the skill-set I have gained to be successful in my career and continue to build my experience.

I serve as the Ambassador for our Corporate Advisory Board partners, Acento, Target, and The TJX Companies, Inc. I will raise visibility of the members to fellow students and the community. Also, I am excited to announce that I have accepted a position with Macy’s Inc. for the Executive Development Program in buying and planning after graduation. I feel very fortunate to have received this amazing opportunity and I cannot wait to move to New York City!
