Stephanie Olinski
I am thrilled to be working with the talented board members to represent the Terry J. Lundgren Center for Retailing. This is my fifth and final semester on the board and am currently serving as Chair. I am a senior in the Retailing and Consumer Sciences program graduating this May and am extremely excited to be working for Macy’s Merchandising Group in New York City upon graduation.
This past summer I had the amazing opportunity to live in New York City and intern with Macy’s in their Product Development summer internship program. Not only did I receive hands on experience and develop my professional skills, but I left my experience with a passion for product. I also have had the opportunity to intern in NYC with Elie Tahari in the sales and visual merchandising department having the wonderful experience of working their Pre-Spring market. I was selected to assist in the Creative Department on various catalog shoots and loved every minute. In January 2011, I became a YMA Fashion Scholarship winner and have been honored to attend all the experiences they offered while I was in NYC. I also am a Macy’s Undergraduate Challenge winner and the University of Arizona nominee for the Geoffery Beene scholarship for the FSF.
This semester I am ready to lead such a dynamic team of ambassadors as we embrace change and assist all the TJL center partners. I will also be implementing and organizing the first ever National Retail Federation’s Student Association (NRFSA) on our campus to connect exemplary students in the retail industry all over the nation. I look forward to a fantastic semester working with our companies and getting our students active in their major.
