Stephanie Olinski
My name is Stephanie Olinski and I am currently a sophomore in the Retailing and Consumer Sciences major. This is my first semester serving on the Student Advisory Board and I am excited to be already working with the board members to represent the Terry J. Lundgren Center for Retailing. Changing my major from Pre-Business to Retailing and Consumer Sciences was a great decision; this program offers great career and professional opportunities which encompass my passions and interests in the industry. I am pursuing a career in fashion marketing and visual merchandising with hopes to work in New York City and feel that this major is preparing me to succeed.
I have worked in the retail industry since I was a sophomore in high school with the well-known companies of American Eagle Outfitters and Abercrombie and Fitch. Last summer, I interned with a local Tucson boutique assisting with photo shoots, fashion shows, and marketing of the business. I also went on the New York Study Tour over winter break to attend the National Retail Federation’s annual convention and worked as one of their Collegiate Bloggers. This semester I am working on the Evening of Excellence Committee, am looking forward to a fantastic semester working with our companies to inform our students about the great opportunities they have to offer.
Ambassador to: Gordon Brothers, Harry and David, and training for Macy’s Inc.
