Christy Holcomb
I am very excited to continue my final semester at U of A working toward a double major in RCSC and Business Management. My experience with the Terry J. Lundgren Center has amplified my passion for the fast-paced retail industry and the creativity involved. I feel privileged to be part of a program that exposes students to a variety of career paths, scholarships, and networking opportunities with the industry’s leaders. After gaining knowledge from RCSC courses and experiencing employment with Macy’s Inc., I am most interested in pursuing a career in merchandising and buying following graduation.
This past summer I completed an internship in London with the fashion public relations firm Push PR, which further sparked my interest in pursuing these fields in retail. This semester I will serve on the Student Advisory Board fundraising committee that awards scholarships to students pursuing careers in retail. The opportunity to network with the Center’s Corporate Advisory Board partners is unique to this program and has made the RCSC experience at the University of Arizona invaluable to me. As a result of this opportunity, I will be starting my career at Macy's Inc. in New York City following graduation this summer. I am looking forward to taking advantage of the many resources the TJL Center has to offer this year and working with the Student Advisory Board to make the RCSC experience the best that it can be for all students and partners.
