Killian Dorgan

This is my second semester on the Student Advisory Board, and I continue to be extremely motivated to share my knowledge to connect retailing students with industry leaders. I am very pleased to be surrounded by such determined and career-oriented individuals and look forward to representing the Terry J. Lundgren Center for Retailing. I sparked my passion for the field through my leadership experience as the Fashion Expert at Express, LLC and volunteering for designers Lloyd Klein and Sue Wong. I then was thrilled to discover the retailing program at the University of Arizona.

I am currently a junior with aspirations of becoming a Trend Forecaster, pursuing a degree in Retailing and Consumer Sciences and Business Administration. My commitment to retailing began in high school when I founded and served as president for the “Fashion in Action” club where I was able to attract guest speakers to address issues relating to fashion and merchandising. My inherent sense of style, proven by my time as a Fashion Expert for Express¬, allows me to identify styles that fit any body and surpassed sales goals as an associate. My time volunteering for Los Angeles designers taught me the importance of attending to detail with grace and finesse. As an Ambassador with the Student Advisory Board, I want to encourage students to become active in the major and explore all that our corporate partners have to offer.

This past semester, I was honored to receive the YMA Fashion Scholarship award and was flown to New York City to attend a fantastic gala. I encourage everyone to apply for this amazing opportunity in the future. I am proud to be the liaison to Corporate Advisory Board partner Macy’s, Inc. I am excited for the year ahead and for more students to become acquainted with all of our Corporate partners at all events The TJL Center coordinates, such as the Career Fair, the BIG Networking Event, GoPRO, the Global Retailing Conference, and many others.
